 Today I want to tell you a story involving a past client of mine that highlights the importance of working with the right agent.

A few years ago, I got a call from a really nice guy who said, “I don’t know if you remember me, but my wife and I once bought one of your listings. You represented the sellers, but we thought you were super nice and professional. We decided that when we got around to selling our house, we were going to call you and let you help us with the sale of our house.”


That was a really nice thing to hear. Kindness and professionalism are just part of what I do—I want everyone involved in our transactions to have a great experience, whether they’re my client or the client of the other agent.


We try very, very hard to be honest with our customers and to take care of all their needs.

I ended up meeting with him at his home, and I gave him some suggestions of things he could do to get the house ready, as well as things he should not do—certain projects don’t actually add value to a home, meaning he would have needlessly spent money on them.


A couple of weeks later, the house was ready. We put it on the market, and in four days, we had a full-price offer on the property! That’s the power of marketing, of exposing, and presenting a property properly.
