A Few Lessons From My Trip to Peru
May 13, 2019 at 12:50pm | Kelly Fischer
I recently took a trip to Peru, where I learned a lot about life and about myself. Here are my three biggest takeaways.
I am so excited to talk to you today about my recent business trip to Peru complete with a hike of Machu Picchu. This is probably a trip that I never thought I would plan myself, however, a group that I belong to called The Passport Experience arranged this trip for myself and other business owners to get together, have some adventure, and do some team building.
Before the trip, I was pretty nervous. I’m not the most adventurous person in the world and I was worried about the physical exertion of hiking Machu Picchu. I was traveling with my daughter, which can be a little strenuous from time to time as all
mothers and daughters know. Fortunately, we had a fantastic trip and I wanted to share a few different takeaways from my trip with you today:
1. The things that scare you are the things that help you grow. Always try to say yes as much as you can and accept those opportunities for the things that you're
uncomfortable with because they will help you grow.
This was a fantastic trip for me and I can’t wait to go on another.
2. We’re so fortunate and blessed to live in the U.S.A. Peru is a very poor country, in comparison, and just seeing how resilient and amazing the people were
was very humbling and made us all so glad to be citizens of this great country.
3. The importance of being around people who are different and smarter than you. This has helped me grow and will help you grow too.
This was a fantastic trip for me and I can't wait to go on another. If you’re a business owner yourself, know that the Passport Experience is open to you. If you’re
looking for a way to grow yourself and your business by connecting and traveling with other business owners and leaders, I highly recommend it.
In the meantime, if you have any questions for me about the real estate market or need any help buying or selling a home in the Vero Beach area, don’t hesitate to give me a call or send me an email. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
